Based on the play “The Matchmaker” by Thornton Wilder,
Hello Dolly is the story of Mrs Dolly Levi’s efforts to marry Horace Vandergelder, the well known half-a millionaire. Along the way she successfully matches up the majority of the cast and sorts out the rest in her own inimitable fashion, as she states “some people paint, some people sew…. I meddle” and she always gets her own way in the end.
This delightful musical is a treat from start to finish with such well know songs as “Put on your Sunday Clothes”, “It Takes a Woman”, “Elegance”, “Before the Parade Passes by” and, of course, “Hello Dolly”. With a talented cast, including some well known faces, some new faces and a group of highly talented youngsters, this show is full of energy, musicality and laughter.
