South Scotland's Premier Music and Arts Venue

Welcome to 2008 and the New Season at the BUCCLEUCH!!

SINCE THE BUCCLEUCH CENTRE opened in February last year, we have tried to present a programme which provides quality, excellent entertainment, a broad mix of different genres where there is something for everyone but where there is also innovation.

On February 1st we start our programme with a bang – a rock’n’roll concert from the teddy-boy supergroup, Showaddywaddy. February includes one of the highlights of the year, a concert by Barbara Dickson and we also have our first touring musical, “Over the Rainbow”, with Steps star Faye Tozer playing the role of Eva Cassidy. In March we have our first visit of ballet, but with a difference - The BIG Ballet – where all 16 Russian ballerinas weigh around 20 STONES and are ably assisted by 6 slim and athletic young men!!

In April we have our first matinée @ the Buccleuch where there is a celebration of 1940’s wartime entertainment in “We’ll Meet Again” and performances from family favourite Basil Brush. May includes concerts by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and The Peatbog Faeries and in June, Likely Lad Rodney Bewes performs his one man show, while jazz legend Humphrey Lyttelton’s concert will be something to treasure.

Our new Café is open Monday to Saturday, so whenever you’re in our part of the world, please call in and enjoy some of our Border hospitality.
