My Glass World is Jamie Telford’s pet project and this is their second visit to Langholm.
The previous concert coincided with the start of Covid and subsequently he and the band have written and recorded two albums in that time. The latest album Tree.Shadow.Piano was released at the end of September.
The line up is similar to the last time and features an all star lineup of session players who happen to be pals. Sean Read on sax plays with Dexys Midnight runners and Edwyn Collins, Stephen Gilchrist pops up with Graeme Coxon among others, Peter Salem writes ballet music.. his latest : The Crucible for Scottish Ballet was premiered at the Edinburgh Festival. Jon Kensington played with members of REM. My Glass World will also feature some local brass players. Support is by another local talent Amy Hill who brings her folk touches to the hall for the first time in a while.
